Working in the "back-a-yard"
Dada invited us to spend our evening outside with him as he did some yard work in, as Isaac puts it, the back-a-yard. We hosed the little fellas down with some deet-free bug repellent to avoid the Isaac-chewing of last night. Seriously, we were outside for 10 minutes and the child has 10 huge and ugly bites all over his arms. Only one new bite tonight. Now that's progress.
Anyway, everybody had jobs to do. Daddy ripped up some scraggly-looking bushes and put down some grass seed:

Isaac carried out a search-and-rescue to find Buzz in the sandbox:

Jacob made sure those squishy blocks were kept nice and moist:

What was my job? Taking pictures, of course.

Seriously... can I RENT your husband for maybe just a week or so?
Seeding? Ripping out bushes? My husband needs lessons....
Erin -- HA! It's a mixed blessing, let me tell you. If my husband knew of such a word as "moderation", I would love it. Sometimes, with all his voracious do-it-yourself-ism, it's like he's not here at all...
Don't know how the rest of it went down but YOUR portion of the work was a wild success!
