Fun with baby Jonas

In honor of someone who is just about to leave his babyhood...

Towards the end of March we welcomed three Spring-Breakers to our house. It was the lamest of possible Spring Breaks -- with home-cooked meals, tours of glorious Newark -- but these were no ordinary Spring Breakers. They were Uncle Chrissy, Aunt Jean, and baby Jonas!



On a beautiful Wednesday, we walked to Main Street for snacks at Brew HaHa and gelato at Caffe Gelato. Uncle Chrissy was so kind to take snaps of our entourage:





We did lots of eating. I baked two pies! Here's Jonas topping off his lunch:

There was lots of snuggling, too, when Jonas would deign to venture from the arms of his belooooooved mama. He and Isaac were particularly fond of each other:



The crowning, camera-worthy glory was getting the three of them in the bathtub together.



It was Jonas's first time in a big-boy tub. His favorite thing in the world was to splash.




Jake took great offense to this. His grumpery about this newfound facial wetness wasn't in the least offset by Jonas's obvious delight. You can imagine that we onlookers were not terribly helpful.
